The Way of the Cross
"By thine agony and bloody sweat,
By thy Cross and Passion;
By thy precious death and burial; Good Lord deliver us."

The Way of the Cross
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, Amen.
V. Christ for our sakes became obedient unto death.
R. Even the death of the cross.
V. By his own blood he entered once into the holy place.
R. Having obtained eternal redemption for us.
V. O Saviour of the world, who by thy cross and passion hast redeemed us,
R. Save us and help us, we humbly beseech thee, 0 Lord.
V. The Lord be with you.
R. And with thy spirit.
Let us pray.
OUR FATHER, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and
forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us
not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom, and the
power, and the glory, forever and ever. AMEN.
O BLESSED LORD JESUS, who for the redemption of the world didst walk the
Way of the Cross and bore in thy sinless self the sins of the many; Grant that we,
following in thy footsteps, may grow in knowledge of thy love, and walk all the
days of our life in thy paths; who now livest and reignest with the Father and the
Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. AMEN

Now let hearts be filled with wonder
As the holy way we trace,
Which our saviour trod before us
Who is first of all our race
That in gaining our salvation
He might blot out our disgrace.
