“For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”

“For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”

July 5, 2020

In this week’s sermon, the Rt. Rev. Susan Goff, Bishop Suffragan and Ecclesiastical Authority of the Diocese of Virginia, reminds us that a yoke is used with beasts of burden to distribute the load between multiple animals. Jesus’s yoke can help us bear the often-difficult task of loving our neighbors as ourselves, and protecting the most vulnerable among us.

See Matthew 11:16-19, 25-30.
