Family Ministry

“Our prayer for our children is that they live fully, that they love well, that they honor the light of God within themselves and within others.”

We pray this each Sunday as families and children leave our main worship space and gather together for their own special Family Service of the Word.

Family Service

“The wolf shall live with the lamb,
the leopard shall lie down with the kid,
the calf and the lion and the fatling together,
and a little child shall lead them.”
— Isaiah 11:6

A spiral-bound book is shown on a flat wooden surface with the Biblical quote "And a little child will lead them." It is surrounded by colored pencils , watercolors and paint brushes.

Here at St. Andrew’s, we believe in and care for our children in worship. Every Sunday, we gather for an interactive service with music, crafts, discussion, and activities.

In our service, we do a weekly check-in, we read or watch the Gospel reading appointed for the day, create a reflection on that lesson, pray for our community and the world, and most importantly, we learn and grow and love together (and have a lot of fun doing it).

You can stay up-to-date on our Family Ministry by subscribing to St. Andrew’s weekly eNews.

Episcopal Youth Community

Episcopal Youth Community is our youth group. We gather once a month for fellowship and check-ins. Past gatherings include a trivia night and an online Harry Potter escape room! In the fall, we will begin looking into service and outreach projects when we are able to gather together in person.

Formation

Before Lent, we studied the Lord’s Prayer in-depth and will continue to explore different curriculum that suits the families of St. Andrews. During the pandemic, we have also created resources for at-home worship during Lent and Advent for families to grow at home.
