Volunteer Arlington is holding the 4th Annual MLK Day of Service, primary online. The schedule includes an opening program at 9:30 a.m. with a special address from Dr. Bernice A. King, the CEO of the King Center; followed by three different ways to serve from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., including:
  • service projects (with options for in-person and at home),
  • volunteer training (for those interested in long time service), and
  • advocacy panels (for those interested in learning more about an issue and how to effectively make a difference moving forward).
St. Andrew’s own Susan Thomas has been part of the Marymount team working on the advocacy panel discussing the Cliff Effect on households earning low wages. Register by Thursday Jan. 14. Learn more.
